Clarification...

draft #1

We are NOT saying all hydroponicaly cannabis is bad, however......

Dangers of hydroponic cannabis (in particular commercial strains)

Many commercial growers of hyroponic cannabis are unscrupulous and will use what ever they think will help their pot sell or grow quicker. They use hormones that are intended for human birth control, animal tranquilisers, fungicides with long witholding periods, insecticides (including some "natural" insecticides which have additives like piperonyl butoxide) which have unknown effects on humans when smoked

While the same could be said for outdoor growers it is far less common due to the much larger crops and the less often need for chemical intervention

Conspiracy

Many indoor hyroponic growers say they would prefer to grow their pot outside. But because of cannabis prohibition and the monetary value that that puts on pot, growers have been forced to grow in clandestine grow rooms using artificial light and fertilisers. And due to the popularity of cannabis, large purely commercial growing operations have cropped up. The hydroponic industry knows this and does not want to lose such a huge slice of their sales . They stand to make a lot of money from prohibition and lose a lot from RE-legalisation.

And because the cannabis is grown in an artificial environment, pests can quickly multiply and devastate a crop as there are no predators or other agents to control thier numbers. The unwary or unscrupulous might use chemicals that are harmfull, chemicals that could be very dangerous when ingested in smoke

Genetically modified variants of Cannabis

Genetic modification through breeding is still genetically modified NOT to be confused with genetic engineering, which has dangers yet unknown, remember when you eat tomatoes you are also eating fish, as there are genes in modern tomatoes from flounder fish

One of the dangers not often expressed and which applies equally to outdoor cannabis

is drug addiction .... not addiction to cannabis but to the HARD DRUG nicotine (more addictive than heroin and gives you cancer)

Many people find they can't go anywhere without thier favourite smoking tool and their "mix". If they dont get their smoke they get irritable and nervy and crave a smoke. This is because they mix tobacco with their pot and have developed a nicotine addiction.

why ? They say to stretch it out, to "spin it", make it last longer, this is a misconception as you still have to smoke the same amount of pot to get the desired effect, PLUS all that toxic tobacco smoke

Another danger which also applies equally to both types of cannabis is that ANY burnt carbon matter is potentially carcinogenic although cannabis has been shown to have some anti cancer properties
